Newslions Media Network is seeking a talented and ambitious sub-editor/writer to join our dynamic team. This internship opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience and the chance to develop essential skills in journalism and writing. As a fresher, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our news production process and work closely with experienced journalists and editors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct research, write, and edit news articles, feature stories, and other written content across a range of topics.
2. Conduct interviews and gather information from reliable sources to support your reporting.
3. Collaborate with the editorial team to generate compelling story ideas and angles.
4. Fact-check and verify information to ensure accuracy and adherence to journalistic standards.
5. Stay abreast of current events, industry trends, and relevant issues to generate timely and engaging content.
6. Contribute to social media efforts by creating shareable content and promoting published articles.
7. Assist in managing and organizing editorial calendars and deadlines.

1. A Bachelors or Masters degree program in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
2. Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong command of grammar, AP style, and journalistic ethics.
3. Strong passion for investigative reporting and a keen interest in current affairs, politics, and other relevant topics.
4. Solid research skills and the ability to gather information from multiple sources and verify its authenticity.
5. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced news environment.
6. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
7. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms is a plus.
8. Previous writing or journalism experience through coursework or internships is preferred.
