Jawaharlal Nehru University Summer Research Program 2012 in Life Sciences – Delhi

JNU Summer Research Program 2012A quick announcement – School of Life Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi has announced Summer Research Program 2012 for B.Sc., B.Tech, and M.Sc. students of any branch of sciences for participating in a Six week Summer Research programme. The objective of this programme is to motivate and stimulate young and creative minds to pursue a career in science. The last date to apply is 30th April 2012 – hurry!

About the internship: – The summer School includes talks from experts in the field of modern biological sciences and hands-on experiments.  Each participant will be allotted a laboratory for conducting experiments and enjoying their research.

Who can apply: – B.Sc., B.Tech., M.Sc., students of any branch of sciences. The preference will be given to the first year M.Sc. and  Second year B.Sc. students and selection will be done on the basis of merit and regional representations.

Duration: – 6 weeks (between 24th May-29th June 2012)

Location: – Delhi, India

Stipend: – Selected candidates joining from outside Delhi will be provided with sleeper class train fare and accommodation

      @Azeem- Hi. The page of the internship has clearly stated that one needs to write the application in a plain paper signed by the Head of Department of one’s branch.There is also a follow-up that you need to write in one page. Remember to mention your email and phone number so that it is easy for the people to contact you. All other details are mentioned in the page. Read it again.     in application they mentioned that they will provide accommodation but the call which i got ,in that mentioned as v should arrange our own … can any one plz say me how it ll happen.

    This is Richa, pursuing M.phil Biotechnology in Himachal. I want to do the dissertation work in the month of January 2013 for 6 months.Plz tell me that M.phil candidates will apply for the dissertation in JNU and will they get any stipend or not?

    The Summer research programme is organised every year.
    Notification is out generally by April.
    Look out for labs in School of kife sciences in JNU, See which lab interests you and keep one page write up prepared accordingly.
