Internship at Raman Research Institute – Pulkit from SRMSCET, Bareilly

Internship at Raman Research InstituePulkit’s (left-most sitting in front row) quest to learn, earn and explore was accomplished during this internship as he was able to look at all dimensions and adopt positive changes.

Being a student from conservative and not so opportunistic college, just my thoughts were free to explore and experiment. Whatsoever the situation maybe, the only thing that always captivated my mind was- “Yes! I am talented and I won’t let my talent go waste”.

With this thought always in my mind, I used to search for opportunities that would fascinate every learner in early stages from sources like various classified columns of magazines and newspapers. Not satisfied with any of those so called – ‘opportunities at doorsteps’ I began focusing towards digital media. Always being a computer science student, I use to admire and acknowledge the ease and simplicity- computers have offered to us. Thus, without wasting any further time I set some goals for myself; which also included earning some hard cash.

Having set these goals, next big thing I did was turning to Internshala. As I was much active on the internet from always, one day I got an opportunity to learn about Internshala and the very next- I registered myself on the Internshala portal. With few next steps, I searched for internships that could give flight to my career; remaining focused on my interests and the thought- to earn while I learn”.

This journey continued for next few days of applying and waiting until I got a ‘shortlisted’ message from Scribblers- first big thing to my career. Meanwhile, getting an idea from Internshala- I had already started publishing my own blogs. After, getting shortlisted at Scribblers, they asked me for a written test and afterward selected me as a content development intern. Content Development, though, may not sound so interesting to many; but for me- it was a very lucrative chance to strengthen my vocabulary besides a good practice for writing and reading rounds of TOEFL, IELTS, and GRE. Moreover, if you get 10 paise per word for work in your leisure hours, you surely won’t mind doing this.

Continuing for next two months, that is till April 2015; I planned to do something big. As my semester exams were approaching, I quickly searched for those organizations, which could potentially count to my resume. And to my delight, I found an internship post from- Raman Research Institute (RRI), Bangalore at Internshala.

I applied at RRI, was interviewed on Skype and later on was selected. Consecutively after my 6th-semester exams I did this summer research internship for next two months and earned Rs. 13,000 per month as the stipend. I also resumed with my online content development internship at Scribblers. Thus, in all I did three internships in a period of seven months and needless to mention all of these internships, I found at Internshala itself.

Furthermore, what I loved the most about Internshala is that- internships searching is really made very robust, comprehensive and fascinating. Like for me being in a small city of Uttar Pradesh, I found an online content development internship at good remuneration and the other one at Bangalore.

Thus, I recommend everyone to search for internships at Internshala who simultaneously want to explore various prospects, learn and earn.
