I didn’t want to stay in hostel during holidays. Here’s how I learned Android from the comfort of my home.

Internshala has been, undoubtedly, one of the turning points of my life. I came to know about it in the second year of college. It was semester break and I was keen to learn a new skill; however, I was also desperate to get back to my home as soon as possible. This was a big dilemma as my friends were staying back at the hostel to join a course. I wanted to join a course too but without missing the chance to visit my home. I wanted to learn something from the comfort of my home while relishing the delicious homemade food for a change! My friends found this hilarious as they knew the coaching centers in my city were below par. They told me to stay at home and enjoy the break. That’s when my seniors introduced me to the concept of online training and advised me to join Internshala. I registered on the website and viewed several training programs that were available at an affordable rate. I could access the training anywhere and at any time. I could set my own studying hours without worrying about traveling. I called my mother and told that I was coming home. She wasn’t sure about an online training, but I convinced her.
After coming to my home, I joined the Android training. I didn’t even know Java properly, but I had read the content of the training and was convinced. It was perfect for a beginner. Now, when I look back, it seems impossible to learn both Java and Android in just four weeks but Internshala made it possible. The entire training was divided into different modules. The language was crisp and easy to understand, but the best part was the support team. They had dedicated mentors and professionals. The FAQs section had almost every question which could poke a beginner’s mind. The way every doubt was cleared in the Q&A forum was also very helpful. I loved the tests after each module; it was a good way to test my learning and understand the mistakes that I was making. The major exam at the end of the training holds the key to your reward, the Certificate. Yes, after the training, I flaunted my skills through the certificate and the Calculator and Notepad apps that I had made as assignments.
After the college started, I also got the opportunity to test the practical applications of my learning. I created a ‘Mutual Book-Sharing’ app for a contest during my college’s technical fest. It was based on the idea that we have so many books stacked up in our homes with no future, so why not share them physically with the help of an app! I even reached the final round.
Within a year, I have also created an app, Uddeshya, for the social welfare group of my college, which is soon going to be released on Google Play store. Now, I’m planning to pursue a career as an app developer. I was discussing with my mother that I needed to learn advanced skills and without wasting any moment, she concluded it by asking me to join Internshala. Even she trusts this platform now! Thank you, Internshala, for helping me learn these skills and for boosting my confidence. I owe you!
