Computational Neuroscience Course- Summer Programme, 2013- Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology
Computational Neuroscience Course is a great opportunity to learn and interact with world class researchers. There are no tuition costs. OIST will cover accommodation and food of all selected course participants. Travel costs of some participants may also be covered by OIST. OIST will help with arranging visas, if necessary. About OIST: – The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology is an interdisciplinary graduate school offering a 5-year PhD program in Science. Over half of the faculty and students are recruited from outside Japan, and all education and research is conducted entirely in English. OIST researchers are conducting multi-disciplinary research in five major areas: Neuroscience, Molecular Sciences, Environmental and Ecological Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Mathematical Computational Sciences.
About Programme: –A project-oriented course is designed to teach computational neuroscience based on the STEPS, NEURON, NEST and MATLAB software packages.
Who can apply: – Undergraduate students from Science and Engineering background.
Location:- OIST Graduate University, Japan.
Duration: – From June 17th to July 4th, 2013.
