The Harish-Chandra Research Institute – Visiting Student Programme (Physics) – Allahabad
HRI runs a Visiting Students Programme (VSP) in Physics for which B.Sc, B.Tech, M.Sc. and M.Tech students are eligible. Selected students would work in some area of physics under the guidance of a faculty member or a postdoctoral fellow. The programme runs through out the year. The schedule is as follows: deadlines – 28/29 Feb, 30th June, and 31st October for the visiting periods of May-August, Sep-Dec, and Jan- April respectively.
About HRI: – The Harish-Chandra Research Institute (HRI) is an institution dedicated to research in mathematics, and in theoretical physics. It is located in Allahabad, India, and is funded by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. Research at HRI is focussed on Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. The academic community at HRI consists of over 30 faculty members, 20 post-doctoral fellows, and 40 graduate students.
Who can apply : – B.Sc, B.Tech, M.Sc. and M.Tech students are eligible for this programme.
Location: – Allahabad
Stipend: The selected students will be paid to and fro (3rd AC) rail fare, provided accommodation and paid a stipend to cover local expenditures.
