IBM Research – India is now accepting applications for its 2012 Summer Internship Program in Computer Science, Mathematical Sciences and Services Science, Management & Engineering at its locations in New Delhi and Bangalore. The last date to apply is January 31st 2012 – hurry!

About IBM Research: –IBM ResearchIndia is the first IBM lab outside of US lab to lead a Research Big Bet. Big Bets are IBM Research’s long term, high investment exploratory projects. The India lab leads the Mobile Web Big bet and plays a significant role in the Service Quality Big Bet. The current focus areas within the India lab include information management, software technologies, IT infrastructure management, high performance computing, mobile enabled emerging technologies, analytics, and human language technologies.

About Internship: –The selected students will have the opportunity to work closely with an outstanding research team on challenging problems that range from leading-edge exploratory work to prototyping real-world systems and applications. During the internship, the students will also have the opportunity to participate in the dynamic technical environment of the largest Industrial Research organization in the world and network with other top students in different fields from other universities. Who can apply: –Graduate students (Masters/Ph.D) in Computer Science, Mathematical Sciences, Cyber-Physical Systems, as well as SSME (Services Science, Management Engineering) discipline can apply.

Location: –New Delhi, Bangalore, India

Stipend: – The interns will be paid a stipend that is competitive with what other leading companies pay in India. IBM Research – India will also cover expenses related to travel to the work location and provide logistical support for accommodation. In the case of PhD interns, additional monetary support will also be provided for accommodation.
