An important announcement
What are we doing? – We are temporarily disabling email alerts for new posts feature for couple of weeks as we undergo a technical enhancement to come up with a better solution.
Why are we doing it? – Over time as number of subscribers have grown (yes, we are a BIG community now), the email alerts have become painfully slow where in some emails now reach the reader post deadline! This is because of a restriction placed on us by our web host service provider in terms of maximum number of users that we can send the alert to in a day. Since number of readers are far more than this limit, the emails get queued up and get delivered over a span of few days, resulting in poor reader experience.
Secondly, we do not really have a reader friendly ‘unsubscribe‘ feature which may mean that some of you continue to put up with Internshala emails even when you no longer read or need them :). We hate spam as much as you do and would like to treat your email id in the same way as we would like someone else to treat ours.
Hopefully new version would solve for both the problems along with few more surprises.
What does it mean for you? – Since you would no longer come to know about new internship opportunities posted on Internshala through emails, please make sure that you stay tuned with us on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Internshala) where we will put up updates. Please do remember to check Internshala from time to time as we may not be able to publish ALL the good opportunities on our facebook page.
When would we be back with email alerts? – Hopefully very soon and definitely with in next 2 weeks. We are as eager as you are :)
