Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan is now accepting applications for its international internship program. The last date to apply is 15th March 2013 – hurry!
About ITRI : – ITRI is a national research organization, with a mission of conducting technological research, promoting industrial development, creating economic value and improving social welfare for Taiwan. ITRI is not only Taiwan’s largest applied technology R&D institution, but also a pioneer in creating Taiwan’s high tech industry.
About Internship: – A student would have to apply for one of the many internship projects listed on the site and would work on the same project if selected. Complete details of currently available internship projects can be found at ITRI Summer Internship 2013 projects page.
Who can apply: – This program is open to graduate and undergraduate students currently enrolled at accredited colleges and universities. Candidates must hold a valid passport from a country other than Taiwan (ROC).
Location: – Taiwan
Duration: – Summer Interns should be available to work one of the following periods:
- Summer Period 1: May 7 to July 16, 2013
- Summer Period 2: June 11 to August 16, 2013
- For longer internships (4-6 months), dates are flexible depending on student and department needs.
Stipend: – NT$30,000-35,000/- month depending on whether you are an undergraduate, masters or a Ph.D student + free accommodation + free accidental insurance.

While it says last date to apply is 15th March 2013; but please note that its a rolling internship program meaning positions would close as soon as ITRI finds a suitable candidate – so applying early would make sense!
