Internshala – A motivation
I am a recent graduate from DU and a CS drop-out. I used to give tuition to students and had worked with a near relative. But wanted something better than these. With no recent plans for post-graduation, staying at home was a huge burden to bear. I was surfing the internet one day for various opportunities available and came across Business Apprentice Program at Internshala. I applied to it as I wished to work with this start-up company. They are doing a great job, no doubt and the internship details were very exciting.
For many days, there was no response and I had lost all my hopes of getting placed. But one fine day, I was randomly checking my e-mail as a time-pass and stopped to see the mail from the office for telephonic interview. It gave me chills and I immediately replied for acceptance.
I was anxiously waiting for the call at the stipulated time and got very nervous on receiving it. Sarvesh asked all the possible questions from every word I said, a little like the way we see Raghu-Ram interviewing applicants for Roadies (cross-questioning through-out :-P). I was having goose-bumps, to be honest. I did not know exactly how my telephonic interview had gone. But, the next day I received an e-mail which contained my ‘offer letter’ and I was so excited that I could not say anything. When finally I read the terms and broke the news at home, I realized that I will have to cross many hurdles. I planned it all out and confirmed the joining.
My first day was a tragedy initially as I lost my way due to nervousness and reached late but a warm and hearty welcome by the head and co-interns calmed me. I am looking forward to a great experience and learning here, plus motivated enough to work hard and contribute as much as I can to take the organisation a step forward towards success. After-all they have shown faith in me and given me a ray of hope in my days of dilemma.
This was a ‘pre-internship’ experience. Will update for the ‘during internship’ experience soon! :D
