Internship at AIESEC, Russia – Kartikeya from UIET
Sometimes we have to see ourselves from other’s perspective to know ourselves better. Kartikeya travelled far seas during his internship and did a marvelous job of minimizing the gap and expanding the reach between countries.
I applied for an AIESEC internship in Russia and after a long procedure of selection process, I got short listed. Finally, all my preparations had shown result. I had to visit Samara, Russia 7th, Jan, 15 and I was selected for the project Young and Perspective
Following are the words from my internship certificate:
“During the project “Young and Perspective”, he led trainings about leadership and project management, represented Indian culture to Russian youth and made presentations about Indian culture at AIESEC events. He proved himself to be energetic, organized, communicative and reliable. His performance was of high quality and contribution to the project was commendable. Local Committee Samara thanks Kartikeya Walia for sincere participation in the AIESEC international internship program.”
Managing and living in a country and giving sessions along with an already going cultural shock gives shivers, but accomplishing it gives great learning. I have changed a lot and moreover learnt a lot, had loads of fun during my 45 days in Russia and made many cross border friends.
