Internship at Indegene Lifesystem Pvt Ltd – Lalita from AIMS, Bangalore
If you’re going through hell, keep going. Lalita (second girl from the right) is pursuing MBA and shares her wonderful experience of internship days.
The internship opportunity I had with Indegene Lifesystem was a great chance for learning and professional development. It is placed in Manyata Tech Park Bangalore. The corporate ambience had touched my heart and I wished to be like those professionals. The tech park itself was motivational to me .
In the tenure I came through so many events in the organisation like:
- DIVA – a women engagement platform to encourage women empowerment in corporate. This event explicitly represented the organization’s contribution towards women empowerment. This was made possible due to the contributions of the HR director Ms. Bina Patil and the engagement department’s idea.
- The evolution of Indegene brand to Atom – a platform to serve clients with better outcomes ensuring millions of cost saved with 99% accuracy with 100% compliance on the part of organization.
It was my pleasure to celebrate our 68th independence day with this organization wherein I got an appreciation gift (chocolates) for singing the national song and it was like reliving my childhood memories.
Each Friday we had a Friday fiesta in which different session for employees welfare were organized like – stress management, IPL (sport events) and many more.
All these events and activities reflect the organization’s culture and support towards the employees working there.
The work culture and the colleagues were so sociable and cooperative that it paved my way towards learning and my career prospective further. They were always there with me to make me learn and made me feel comfortable around them. They always tried to make me realize the importance and worth of each step in the work I was doing and how important it is to do all my work correctly. Being a fresher, I did make a few mistakes but I learnt something new from each mistake.
My work mainly comprised of updating the personal and professional information of all the employees, which is required for the payroll process, on the organization’s software product. As part of my internship, I had to prepare an onboarding document as well. I will always cherish these memories as part of first exposure to the corporate world.
“Beautiful memories energize and add motivation to a dull life”
The last day of my internship was a little emotional. I had a great day with my friends at Dominos and KFC. I enjoyed on one hand but felt the pang of separation on the other. Everyone at the organization wished me luck for the future and my contribution towards the organization. I thanked them for putting their trust in me.
In a nutshell, I perceive this opportunity as a big milestone in my career development. I will use the gained skills, knowledge and complements in the best possible way and will continue to work on their improvement, in order to attain my career objectives.
