Internship at Sabakuch.com – Komal from Deen Dayal Upadhayaya College
Work hard in silence, let success make the noise. Komal shares her wonderful experience of internship days.
Sitting on a clumsy chair, biting my nails, those long 15 minutes. I was there waiting for my result. The door opened and a ray of hope emerged, he looked at me and said “Congratulations you are selected for the HR round”. I was sad and happy at the same time. A part of me wished that I had never applied. Thinking that it might be a good experience for me, I gathered all my courage and went inside for the personal interview which lasted for 5 minutes.
Despite answering creatively, as to why I want to do this internship, how will I manage my studies as well as work, and many more, I was still in dilemma as to why I was actually there. Something was stopping me to go ahead and say yes to that offer. Then I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and said, “Yes I am ready to do this.” With this the agreement was signed.
I gave the interview for a content writer, and after joining they asked me to record a lecture that I had to write. Standing in front of the camera was like a nightmare for me. I said to myself that I cannot stand in front of the camera, no! I cannot do it!
The mentor saw the tension on my face, and came for help. He soothed me with his inspirational talks. With this motivation I faced the camera, like a warrior, to record the lecture. It took couple of takes and numerous hours and finally in a week I was only able to do only one lecture. The organization was very helpful, they neither gave me any deadline nor did they force me. They stood by me in my tiny steps towards success. With this, my few weeks of internship got over.
