Internship at Unilever – Riham
Beautiful things happen when you distance yourself from the negative. Riham (the leftmost girl in the pic) shares her memorable experience of internship days.
It was a turning point – having an internship at Unilever while I was studying was just awesome!
The internship introduced me to sustainable development. Prior to this internship I had never even heard about sustainability, but when I went there and got to know about the company’s goals and vision about sustainability and their achievements, I became a big fan of sustainability.
I was then studying in the last year in the university of commerce, business administration. I started reading about sustainability and decided that once I finished my business studies, I will pursue my masters in the field of sustainable development.
I have enrolled in the faculty of economics studies and political science to study economics. In addition to this I am volunteering for many NGOs which are involved in issues pertaining to sustainability. I am also taking an online diploma in sustainable development on ALISON website (MOOC system).
Finally I would like to conclude by saying that going for internship is an amazing thing to do, especially if you are a student. Later on, narrating your internship story is equally amazing as it helps you remember that period and relive it once again!
