Internship in Bangalore – Computer Science – Indian Institute of Science
C V Raman, Vikram Sarabahi, Homi Bhabha and A Ramachandran – This summer be a part of what all these heroes of our nation have in common – IISC. Department of computer science and automation of Indian Institute of Science is conducting a six day summer school for students of computer science in July.
About Indian Institute of Science: It is perhaps the oldest research institute in India, coming into operation in 1909. IISC was the brain child of J N Tata and was later graced by the leadership of the likes of Dr.C V Raman. Almost all the great scientists of India, Vikram Sarabahi and Homi Bhabha to CNR Rao have been associated with IISC in one way or the other.
About the internship: The summer school would basically be a series of lectures, taken by faculty members and research students of CSA department, with the aim of going deep into the existing problems and introducing students to new challenges. It would also cover some mathematical tools needed for active research.
Location: IISC Campus, Bangalore
Duration: 9-14th of July,2012
Stipend: None. Also, no accommodation will be provided.
Who can apply: Undergraduate students who have completed 3 years/6 semsters of study in computer science/information sciences.
