About ARISE: – Act to Rise for Innovation in Special Education (www.ariseimpact.org) is a Non-Profit Educational Trust, having Registered Head Office at Chandigarh. This organization develops, innovates, and promotes technologies and tools like new aids, awareness programs, contemporary methodologies, latest technologies, educational material/library resources, training courses/seminars, vocational practice, psychological counseling, career counseling and other strategies for the development of the disadvantaged, challenged, specially-able and/or differently-able sections of the society.
About Internship: – There are multiple profiles a student can choose from: –
1. Social Media – Cause Awareness: – Developing Social media cause awareness campaigns.
2. Research Oriented Projects:- Developing interactive self practice test packages for the challenged using open-source technologies.
3. Legal:- Drafting of MOUs, NDAs and SLAs in special conditions. Understanding Indian law and its implications for our operations.
4. Field Experiential Learning & Advancement:- Collecting data from various sources (online) about the usage and awareness of various initiatives about A R I S E as well as analyzing feedback as to how to improve our educational resources and their deployment strategies.
5. Educational Resource Development:- Development of audio educational resources in various regional languages, like Punjabi, tamil, telugu, marathi etc.
6. Photography & Cause Awareness Campaigns:- Visiting various NGO’s and taking pictures; developing campaigning materials, promotional materials.
7. Operations Development Intern: – Visiting various NGO’s, to establish contact with A R I S E , and to distribute A R I S E ‘s educational resources to these NGOs and furthering the cause of A R I S E.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling admissions basis. This means that people who apply first get the maximum choice, and if filled, then others will not be eligible, but will be asked if they are interested to apply in other volunteering options as mentioned.

Who can apply: –
1. Social Media Internship: Candidate should be adept with FB, LinkedIn, Twitter, Slideshare, Youtube, etc. People with multimedia and animation skills preferred.
2. Technology Scan: Recent undergraduates – 1st or 2nd year candidates with technical streams will be preferred.
3. Research Oriented Projects: Undergraduates – 3rd or 4th year, as well as post graduates, who demonstrate programming skills on open source platforms will be preferred.
4. Legal: Candidate must hold a degree in law / accounts. Others will NOT be entertained.
5. Field Experiential Learning & Advancement: Anyone can apply. However, interviews may be conducted to determine the skill set.
6. Educational Resource Development: Anyone with good knowledge of English and his mother tongue.
7. Photography and Cause Awareness: Candidate should have a degree/diploma in Mass Communication/Photography.
8. Operations Development Intern: Anyone can apply. However, interviews may be conducted to determine the skill set.
Location: – Work from home/Chandigarh/Delhi/Hyderabad, India.
Duration: – Minimum of 3 months.
Start dates: – May 2012
Stipend: – This is an unpaid internship. On completion the candidate will be awarded with an internship certification. You will also have a chance to gain entry into available Management functions if you perform well in the internship.
