About Youth Ki Awaaz: – Youth Ki Awaaz (http://www.youthkiawaaz.com) which literally translates to voice of the youth in English, is an award winning and India’s largest online and mobile platform for young people to talk about issues of importance and seek action on them. Making best use of online and mobile journalism, social media advocacy and new media tools, Youth Ki Awaaz has, since 2008, given voice to over 20,000 young people from across the country and has won 2 prestigious United Nations’ awards for online journalism, participatory media and path-breaking content.
About the internship: – Youth Ki Awaaz is looking for 2 Delhi based interns, with a background in conceptualizing, developing, promoting and implementing social media and advocacy based projects. The interns must have a creative bent of mine, experience in writing for websites, excellent understanding on social media usage, usability, user engagement and analytic – in specific. The interns will be working on projects on social media to advocate and campaign for youth empowerment and meaningful causes.

Who can apply: – Any student having experience or a good idea in building/running social media based projects, or have experience in advocacy for causes, working with NGOs for a sustained period of time – specifically on communications and writing can apply.

Duration: – 3 months
Start date: – May 2013
Stipend: – Rs. 5,000/- per month
