Internship at Global Green Company – Trishanka from SRM University
Everything fits in its place when we are on the track on which we always wanted to be. We have heard that life is a race and we need to work hard to win it but instead we should not rush it and enjoy it. It becomes meaningful only when passion becomes occupation and we are never tired of it.

In pursuit of finding what I would love to do as a career, I began my internship at the Global Green Company. It is a multinational food company with a worldwide presence across the retail, food service and industrial segments. I worked as an Industrial trainee. The reason I chose this company was because I was always intrigued by the technical procedures regarding food processing.
As an Industrial Trainee, I was overseeing the manufacturing of jalapeños and gherkins. Throughout my duration of the internship I learnt about each and every stage of the manufacturing of these products. This whole process of manufacturing begins with assessing the crops and finally ends with the product packaging.
The human resources team at this company was extremely active and enthusiastic. They were ardently trying to increase team bonding. For instance, every Friday, there was some game or event for the employees. The games included cricket matches, treasure hunts and quizzes.
To conclude, Global Green Company symbolizes the inventive potential of food processing as a forum to address the issues of a constantly evolving country like India. Although I am still learning, I do know a lot more about the different stages of food processing. You can never fully tell whether you enjoy a line of work until you’re amidst all the chaos. The minute I wore my lab coat and gloves and stepped into the manufacturing unit, I knew I was on the right path towards doing great work and work that makes a difference. Now, there’s no turning back.
