Internship at Hindustan Coca-cola Beverages – Srikanth from Symbiosis Institute
All internships are worth some experience. Be it bad or good, they teach us a lesson that help us to achieve new heights in life.
One which I come from is a flat style of work culture. Coca-cola was quite opposite hierarchy one. While doing my internship at coca cola I had a mixed proportion of learning and unlearning. With respect to learning I have learned how advanced technologies are used in manufacturing where people will sit and just monitor the process compared to my IT background I was amazed to see vice versa.
When it comes to unlearning I was with a myth that no company would be working in govt. style but Coca-cola had a hierarchy. Anything that you want to accomplish will go through several cabins of heads. By the time it reaches there, the idea fades off.
Apart from these two, my experience with Coca-cola was good and there was a huge learning part. I was amazed to see work and I have gained a lot of knowledge on processes and optimizing resources, I felt I nailed it.
