Pardhu (one receiving the award) started his journey from the scratch. He never heard of the word “Internship” before but in due course of time he has accomplished many. He is keen on learning from everything that comes around in life and tries to put his best foot forward each time. Read his story to know more.
I am Pardhu Vanchanagiri. I just completed college with Bachelors in Information Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, College of Engineering Nachupllay. I am born and brought up in Warangal. I am currently working with Tech Mahindra, Business Services Group in Hyderabad. I love writing poetry. I have written 4 songs for the campus events which are huge hits. I am fond of public speaking and debates. I was delegate of Greece in MUN’s of CBIT and BITS Pilani, Hyderabad.
Basically I long for satisfaction in any project that I undertake. I always look positive at the deadlines and keep myself motivated to dream big. My level of confidence is as much as I need it at any instance. This optimism teaches me new things and helps me to make most of any circumstance, however worst it could be. I try becoming better person each day.
I was about to finish my second year of graduation. I felt as if I am just passing my time with no proper inclination towards developing my skill and knowledge. Then I heard the word ‘Internship’. That was the very first time I realized that I could earn as well from it once I gain experience. I was very excited and ecstatic to do as much as possible internships and earn as much as I can through them. I heard about one source “Internshala” and through which I came to know about several internships available in and around. This helped me in doing internships in various domains ranging from marketing, branding, content development and HR recruitment. Out of all these specified below my favorite area of interest lies in Content Development and Social Media Management.

Internship 14: PR Manager for Plan Harbor.
Each internship had its own specific stipend and duration. Most of the internships listed above were performed virtually. There’s definitely a remuneration for each of the internship which is either done from office or remote location but the thing that matters more is that how well you perform your job. There were times when I used to work on multiple internships at one go. Out of all these, I would love to share one of my favorite internship story.
When I was working with Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG), which is a team of professionals behind the structuring and execution of various political campaigns then I worked on various projects related to RTI, SOU Movement and Run for Unity movement. One very successful project I would like to put forth is Run for Unity movement which witnessed about 4 Million Indians in more than 1100 locations across the country taking part in the marathon. Run for Unity Movement was basically a tribute to late Shri Sardar Vallabhai Patel on December 15, 2013 to gain support for the construction of Statue of Unity which is supposed to be constructed on Narmada belt in Gujarat. The background included a very close watch with every state coordinator of the marathon. ‘Run for Unity’ created a very good impact on every citizen of the country. The impact was so huge that hundreds of tons of iron was collected for the construction of Sardar Patel’s statue by the name “Loha Abhiyan”. The statue would be as much as 20 times bigger than the Statue of Unity thus making it the world’s largest statue till date. There was a team alongside that took care of content development of the projects. I handled the social media of the organization too. With this team I felt as if I am excelling in my way.
With these of internships,we learn the developing side of the world. When we study and stay on campus, we just learn what’s been written but once we step out and stay away from the group we understand the real world. To gain high, you need to give high.
And adding cherry on the cake, I got many more internships from Internshala.
I must say, Internshala is a Facebook of Internships. Love it.
