About BloodConnect: – BloodConnect (http://www.bloodconnect.org/) is a student’s initiative taken up by motivated students from IIT Delhi and the University of Delhi aimed to tackle the grim situation of blood in Delhi. It works to promote voluntary blood donation and
to ensure that no person has to suffer due to shortage of blood. BloodConnect is a service, linking people who need blood and people who are willing to donate blood.
About the internship: – BloodConnect is looking for interns for following profiles:
1. Research and Analysis: specific responsibilities include-
- Analyzing problems: problems faced by patients in regards to blood (Classification can be done on the basis of patients economic background , blood requirement, area where required, urgency of requirement); is there a blood shortage?
- Doing research and finding out answers to above mentioned (and similar) problems.
2 . Web development: specific responsibilities include-
- Improving the system (coding in php, drupal knowledge) or implementation of the system- would require being in touch with blood banks on a daily basis
3. Online Marketing: specific responsibilities include-
- Increasing the online outreach of BloodConnect (applicants should have good knowledge of video making, photoshop, coral draw, etc).

Duration: – 1 month
Start date: – June 2013
Stipend: – Negotiable + At the successful completion of the project, interns will be entitled to a merit certificate of appreciation and excellence. Interns will also get a chance to setup BloodConnect wing in his/her city or be a part of core-team prevalent in your city, if BloodConnect team finds the particular intern worthy.
