AboutTeach For India:- Teach For India (www.teachforindia.org), modeled on the lines of famous Teach for America movement, is a nationwide movement in pursuit of educational equity in India. Teach For India recruits exceptional college graduates and professionals to work as full time teachers in under-resourced schools for two years. Teach For India solicits leaders who will pilot the movement against educational inequity and begets the leaders of tomorrow. The Teach For India staff work relentlessly along with the Fellows to pioneer the movement.
About Internship: – The intern will play a critical role in the successful implementation of the Longitudinal Impact study. They will work closely with various stakeholders (Principals, Fellows, other teachers in the school, and students) to administer the end of year assessments and survey to the students. The intern will also be responsible for grading the assessments and student survey, ensuring reliability and integrity of the data collection process. Qualified candidates for this position should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with a large group of primary school students, and basic knowledge of spreadsheet applications. Their primary responsibilities include;
- Undergoing trainings to understand the scope of the project and various processes
- Administering assessments and student survey, grading assessments, data management and collection and tracking student IDs and classroom/school IDs
- Coordinating with Teach For India Team and school authorities to ensure timely execution of the baseline assessments/survey in target schools
- Traveling to participating schools to conduct baseline assessments and student survey in classrooms
- Grading assessments and student survey as per the rubrics, ensuring reliability and integrity of the data collection process
- Transferring assessment and survey data on to easy-to-use MS Excel trackers.

Who can apply: – Both students and fresh graduates can apply. Those with previous experience of working hard in a deadline-oriented, target-driven environment with respect for process and professionalism. The students should have the following skills and abilities;
- Fluency in local language – Delhi -Hindi; Mumbai – Hindi or Marathi; Hyderabad – Hindi or Telugu
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence and motivate team members and project stakeholders to achieve outcomes
- Adaptable and flexible in working style; willingness to travel within the city
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability to work with large group of primary school students; classroom management skills (strongly preferred)

Stipend: – Rs. 4,000 per month + an experience letter will be provided on completion of internship
