How did I spend my 1st internship stipend?
If you like football at all you know that pre-season starts at the end of July. Well, I was dating a girl for about 2 years, and I had the opportunity to go do this internship. This would have been the start of a year long internship that was broken into two parts. The first was 2 months with the San Fransisco 49ers as an Athletic Training intern then 8 months of an Athletic Training intern position at the University of Arizona. This was going to be a long time apart and I knew we wanted to be together for a long time.
So prior to my internship I proposed. This made being apart for a long time easier and harder at times, but the nice thing was that my first internship stipend paid off the ring. It also gave me enough money to live for the next 8 months, because I wasn’t getting paid at the University internship. It has all worked out since then and we just leaped over our third anniversary. Thanks to that internship we entered a wedding debt-free!
