Internship in Tamil Nadu – Research and Field Work – Centre for Widlife Studies
Have you always wanted to explore the Western Ghats? Do you like to do fieldwork? If so then here is your chance to work with Dr. Krithi K. Karanth and the Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS) as a full time paid intern. There is no last date mentioned – the earlier you apply, the better –hurry!
About the internship: – The project offers opportunities to learn scientific methods of data collection and advanced field skills. Interns will work under Dr. Krithi K. Karanth and explore the Western Ghats as part of their project.
Who can apply: – Apply if you:
- Are physically very fit and have some experience in hiking through forests and rough terrain and staying in remote locations.
- Have a proven track record of interest in wildlife.
- Can speak Tamil fluently (preferable).
Location: – Tamil Nadu. Network with other interns in Tamil Nadu via Internconnect.
Duration: – 3 months (minimum)
Start date: – July 2013
Stipend: – All field related accommodation, travel and food expenses will be covered.
