About RIDE India : – RIDE (Rural Institute of Development Education) was founded in 1984. RIDE is a secular, non-government organisation, registered with the government and recognized by Government agencies, dedicated to empower poor and disadvantaged residents of rural Tamil Nadu to improve the quality of lives. RIDE works to eliminate child labor, promote economic and social justice for women, provide essential medical and educational services, and cultivate economic opportunity throughout the Kanchipuram region.
About the internship: – The purpose of the Young Indian Internship Scheme is to give Indian students an opportunity to be exposed to the running of a grass roots NGO (non-government organisation) while providing them with the opportunity to contribute to a project and gain insight into rural communities in India. RIDE aims to inspire, motivate, and educate students so that they take something away from the experience and pursue their future goals with an open mind.
Who can apply: – Indian students from a variety of backgrounds are invited to apply.
Location: – Tamil Nadu. Network with other interns in Tamil Nadu via Internconnect.
Duration: – Applications are invited throughout the year. Students are expected to commit to at least 1 month full time or 3 months part time.
Stipend: – This is an unpaid internship.
