About Teach For India:- Teach For India (www.teachforindia.org), modeled on the lines of famous Teach for America movement, is a nationwide movement in pursuit of educational equity in India. Teach For India recruits exceptional college graduates and professionals to work as full time teachers in under-resourced schools for two years. Teach For India solicits leaders who will pilot the movement against educational inequity and begets the leaders of tomorrow. The Teach For India staff work relentlessly along with the Fellows to pioneer the movement.
About the internship:- There are 8 different internship profiles that are available and details are given below. 1. Alumni impact intern: – The alumni impact intern will support the team in all initiatives being launched by the team this year. The intern will be required to conduct primary research on the education landscape of the country, will help build contacts with organizations in the sector as well as graduate schools and assist the team in day to day functions.

Primary responsibilities:
- Working on online resource portal by doing primary research.
- Helping with monthly newsletter, data entry and power point formatting from time to time.
- Maintaining organization database and doing research on companies that we can invite to the career fair.

2. Communications intern: – The Communications (digital and online marketing) intern will assist the team’s efforts in maximizing our online presence across internally managed communications as well as engaging with external stakeholders via several online platforms.

3. Development intern: – Intern-Development supports the team in planning and executing fund raising strategies for Teach For India.

- Assist in the identification and research on various fundraising avenues that would support the movement.
- Devise retail / online strategies for TFI to serve as a high value source of fund-raising and awareness building. This would include exploring best practices in cause marketing tie ups (abroad and in India), identifying key targets, conducting some initial outreach to gauge interest and then supporting implementation.
- Due diligence and research studies, as needed, to support the Development team.
- Support / assist the team on other Development related projects and activities on a need basis.

Impact (Curriculum and Resources) intern: – The intern will join the training and impact team and work to manage and build their curriculum through organizing and sharing teacher resources, managing knowledge on their website and researching curricula and best practices from across the world. The research and work you do will impact the 16,000 children in our classrooms across five cities.

6. Human Resources (HR) intern: – The intern will assist the Talent Associate in hiring activities to meet Teach For India’s hiring needs. This position will also support HR Initiatives and maintain data and documentation at Teach For India.
