NIST Summer Research Internships 2013 -Electronics/Mechanical/Computer Science

About NIST: – The National Institute of Science and Technology was established in 1996 and is being managed by the SM Charitable Educational Trust with the mission to “create engineering minds capable of mastering the global challenges of tomorrow’s technology”. The Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE under MHRD, Govt of India) and is affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). The Institute campus of 60 acres is located at the picturesque Palur Hills about 12 kms from Berhampur and 3 hours drive from Bhuvaneshwar.
About the internship: – The internship mainly focuses on the following research areas:
Embedded Systems, Wireless Communications, Sensor Networks, VLSI Design,Distributed signal processing in wireless sensor network, Nanotechnology, Solar cells, Semiconductors Devices, High Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, Parallel Processing, Cryptography ad Network Security, Computer Vision, Graph Mining, Fault Diagnosis in WSN, Low Power FPGA Design, Quantum Semiconductor devices and materials, Controller design of various dynamical systems, Fiber Optics, Virtual Instrumentation, Simulation Studies, Robotics, Fluid flow, Heat and Mass Transfer, CFD , Organic Synthesis.
Who can Apply: – For faculty: minimum M.Tech or PhD degree; for students: final year/ pre-final year B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc.
Location: – Palur Hills, Berhampur, Odisha.
Duration: – 2 months (starting Tentatively May/June, 2013)
Stipend: –Rs. 2000/- per month in addition to free boarding & lodging. To-and-Fro Travel Expenses Reimbursed.
