NITK Surathkal Summer Internship Program 2013- Science, Humanities & Social Sciences
NIT Karnataka Surathkal has announced its summer internship program for 2013. Students from almost all the Engineering branches, Science streams (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) and Humanities & Social Sciences can apply for this paid internship. The last date to apply is 3rd May 2013 – hurry!
About the internship: – The NITK – Summer Internship Programme (NITK-SIP) is designed to enhance awareness and interest in high quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Sciences and Humanities students through a goal oriented summer mini-project undertaken at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. Awardees to work on research projects under the mentorship of faculty during the summer vacation.

Who can apply: – Candidates pursuing third year of B.Tech. programme, first year of MTech, M.Sc., MBA with outstanding academic background in terms of academic performance in university examinations, papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, and any other awards/distinctions obtained, are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to students from Institutions with which NITK has an MoU for academic and research cooperation.

Stipend: – Rs. 100/- per day + accommodation to be provided + Allowance for food, at a rate decided by the Dean (R&C), will be provided separately.
