Our experience with internship programs – Here’s why interns love us.

We are a startup based out of Gurgaon. Like every other startup, we hire several interns to help us out in solving the critical problem statements. I’ve tried to list down a few reasons for why we love our interns and why our interns love us back!
Why do we hire interns?
• They bring a fresher perspective: The ideas brought by interns are sometimes crazy but also beyond the conventional knowledge brought in by people with previous work experience. They are very vocal about their thoughts and also help us in keeping ourselves updated on the expectations of a new batch of candidates coming in.
• They add to the enthusiasm of the team: Interns are always excited and willing to give more than 100% towards every task assigned to them. They are ready to don multiple hats and expand their horizon in all possible ways thus proving to be a valuable asset for any startup.
• Interns bring down the average age and amplify the average fun quotient of the team: Being the younger lot in the office, interns are always up for fun events and parties. They make sure that such activities and gatherings keep on happening at regular intervals, thus saving all the employees from the regular brunt of work.
• Internship program helps us evaluate candidates before extending a full-time offer: By hiring interns, we are able to evaluate a lot of factors about the candidates like work ethics, cultural fit, dedication etc. We can check for these attributes at length thus building and expanding the team in a steady and sustainable manner.
Why interns love to work with us?
• We entrust them with a lot of responsibilities: When we make someone a part of our team, we know that we will have to show our trust in their abilities. This allows us to give them important problems and projects which add immense learning and prepare them for the real world.
• We provide guidance to them at every stage to mold their learning: We are a team of individuals who have been a part of various journeys in their corporate careers and have built start-ups earlier as well. We ensure that we pass on whatever we have learned over time to our interns which will benefit them and in turn us.
• We provide them flexibility: Interns get a comfortable and flexible lifestyle. The work environment is relaxing and the team is very helpful in making their transition from college to the work set up, a comfortable one.

We currently have two interns working with us, Abhishek and Monika, hired through Internshala. The performance of these two interns has been exceptional and they have been assets to the organization. The whole process of conducting interviews and hiring interns is very enriching as it helps to get us a bunch of new ideas as well. The internship program that we run has been very successful for us to hire the right candidates, and we would keep following the same steps as we grow and build the team.
