About SaveLIFE Foundation:- SaveLIFE Foundation (www.savelifefoundation.org) is a non-profit organization focused on improving road safety and emergency care in India. It has trained and created over 3,000 police and community first responders across Delhi and Maharashtra. It is focused on creating community-driven emergency care response systems and advocating for better policy frameworks on road safety.
SaveLIFE Foundation (SLF) is a part of WHO’s Global Alliance for NGOs on Road Safety. It is the winner of the prestigious Rolex Global Enterprise for Innovation Award in 2010.
About Internship:- SaveLIFE Foundation is looking for research interns who are eager to undertake nation-wide Right to Information (RTI) research on road safety and emergency response. The candidate will be :-
- Drafting RTI applications to Government and public departments across India.
- Solicit information on road accidents and emergency care from all districts in India by drafting follow-up RTI responses to states.
- Assimilate and analyse RTI responses from across India.
- Gather resources if required for drawing data from across India. This may require interns to reach out to RTI activists and persons across different states to gather information.
- Assist the NGO in disseminating research through web, print, and broadcast media.

Who can apply:- Any graduate/post graduate with a strong urge to work on RTI and keen to get a thorough understanding on how to use this act for policy advocacy work can apply for this internship. Students with past internship experience and knowledge of MS Excel will be given preference.
Location:- New Delhi, India
Duration:- 2 months
Start date:- July 2012
Stipend:- This is an unpaid internship. The candidate will be provided with incidental expenses (travel and stationery) by the foundation. Apart from an internship certificate and letter of recommendation the candidate will also get an opportunity to become a certified life-saver during this internship. The student will also be credited and will be named in our research report when published.
