Summer Internship in Israel – Research – Weizmann Institute of Science
The Weizmann Institute of Science’s annual Kupcinet-Getz International Science School accepts each summer a selected number of outstanding undergraduate students to participate in research projects in mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences. The last date to apply is 31st January, 2013 – hurry!
About the internship: – The internship is a sort of enrichment program designated for undergraduate students from all over the world, who are majoring in the Sciences, to experience science first hand by becoming part of a research group at the Weizmann Institute. Each student is associated to a laboratory or a theoretical research project under the supervision of an experienced scientist; the students become, for a short time, full-fledged members of the scientific team.
Who can apply: –
1. Applicants must be students enrolled in undergraduate science degree programs (in Physics; Chemistry; Life Sciences; Mathematics; or Computer Science). BSc and BA degree holders are not eligible to apply.
2. Candidates should give evidence of a serious interest in scientific research (previous experience is an advantage but not a requirement).
3. Overseas candidates should have a grade point average 3.6/4.0 or the equivalent in the grades associated with their major subject.
Location: – Israel
Duration: – 2 months (between June 25th -August 20th, 2013)
Stipend: – NIS 500/- per week, i.e. NIS 4, 000 in total + free accommodation
