A last minute announcement for all the legal eagles visiting Internshala. Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DLSA) has announced a summer internship program for law students interested in working in the area of legal aid. The last date to apply is 26th April 2012 – hurry!
About Delhi State Legal Services Authority: – Delhi State Legal Services Authority (http://dlsa.nic.in/) has been constituted under the State Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. The object is to provide ‘access to justice for all’ so that justice is not denied to citizens by reason of economic or other disabilities. Legal aid is an essential part of the Administration of Justice. To ensure this, the Authority organizes Legal Literacy and Awareness Camps in different parts of N.C.T. of Delhi.
About the internship: – The objective of the internship program is to give law students an insight into the legal aid mechanism and various legal literacy programmes and schemes framed for “Access to Justice for All”. It is one of its kind initiative to build the capacity of Delhi State Legal Services Authority and interns by providing them an opportunity to gain practical experience in the legal aid field.
Who can apply: – Interns should be undergraduates or students studying in law schools, social sciences and other related courses. Interns must be interested to work in legal aid field and eager to learn and work for legal aid.
Location: – Delhi, India
Duration: – A minimum of 3 weeks in June/July 2012
Stipend: – not mentioned.
