It creates sustainable models that enables in generating livelihoods and costs savings for the rural citizens. Over the years, Drishtee has facilitated and supported a network of over 14,000 rural enterprises to cater to the critical needs of base of the pyramid.Currently, Drishtee has strong presence in 3 states of India namely, Assam, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and is partner with many corporate houses in India and abroad.
About Internship: – The activities of the intern will involve finding new entrepreneurs, supporting existing entrepreneurs, understanding the local market conditions and competition and identifying new opportunities. A need has been felt for providing support to the field team in terms of training and capacity building and also for local market research with a to improve business performance.More details of the scope of work are given the section below.
Key Deliverable:-
– Understand current operation processes.
– Training of field staff in MIS and operation processes.
– Provide feedback on possible improvements in operation processes.
– Market research and competition analysis and identify new business opportunities.
Number of internships: – 10
Who can apply:- MBA in rural development and a few years of rural development experience in this field will be helpful.Candidate should have skills and interest in training and development, market research, excellent communication skills both in Hindi and English, good documentation and interest in rural development and social entrepreneurship.
Location: – Location can be any of the Drishtee’s field offices in Assam ( Guwahati, Sonitpur and Sibsagar ) and Uttar Pradesh ( Mathura, Mainpuri and Maal ). Traveling to Drishtee HO at Noida at the start and end of the assignment.
Duration: – 3 months
Start date: – May 2012
Stipend: – This is an unpaid internship.Certificate will be given on successful completion of the project.Accommodation will also be considered based on availability.
