Summer School- Department of Statistics- University of Oxford
Like every year, this year too, the Genome Analysis Group is organizing a project-based summer school. Outstanding students with a strong background in mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics or chemistry are invited to apply. The call for applications will close on 4th March 2013-hurry!
About Department of Statistics: –The Department of Statistics- University of Oxford, is a world leader in research including core theoretical statistics, computational statistics, bioinformatics and mathematical genetics.
About the internship: – The participating students will be working with leading researchers from Oxford and a number of collaborators visiting from overseas on highly relevant problems at the forefront of computational biology and bioinformatics.
Who can apply: – Applications are invited from all students (UK and international) who will have completed at least two years of undergraduate study by summer 2013; postgraduate students and recent graduates are also invited to apply. For more detail please refer to eligibility and funding section.
