Summer Internship in Canada – Life Science Research – IMS, University of Toronto
The Institute of Medical Science (IMS) has an exceptional Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) that provides an opportunity for undergraduate B.Sc. and medical students to get involved in projects relating to bio-medical research. You wouldn’t want to miss such an excellent internship, so hurry up! The deadline is 19th February, 2013.
About the IMS: – The Institute of Medical Science (http://www.ims.utoronto.ca/about.htm) is one of the oldest medical faculties under the University of Toranto. And also, IMS is the largest graduate unit of the Faculty of Medicine, with over 500 graduate faculty members and over 500 graduate students.
About the internship: – Participants selected for the program will be working in a laboratory or clinical setting, on a research project. In addition, the IMS offers weekly seminars rendered by eminent researchers from the University of Toronto.
Who can apply:- Participants in the IMS Summer Student Program must be enrolled in medical school or pursuing an undergraduate science degree program. Undergraduate applicants must have an average of B+ Cumulative GPA (3.3/4.0 or 77%) or higher. Participants who apply for IMS funding must hold a Cumulative GPA of A – (3.7 GPA, 80% or First Class Distinction) or higher. Medical student applicants must be in good standing as determined by their school registrar/head.
Location: -University of Toronto, Canada
Duration: – 3 months (From June to August, 2013).
