About Teach For India:- Teach For India (www.teachforindia.org), modeled on the lines of famous Teach for America movement, is a nationwide movement in pursuit of educational equity in India. Teach For India recruits exceptional college graduates and professionals to work as full time teachers in under-resourced schools for two years. Teach For India solicits leaders who will pilot the movement against educational inequity and begets the leaders of tomorrow. The Teach For India staff work relentlessly along with the Fellows to pioneer the movement.
About Internship: – There are 3 different internship profiles that are available and details are given below. 1. City Operations intern: The intern will be responsible for handling city operations and managing finances for Teach for India.

Primary Responsibilities:
Finance:
- Disbursing cash for daily expense
- Submitting petty cash requisition to Central Finance periodically
- Ensuring timely collection of salary cheques from schools
- Forwarding salary receipts to schools
- Entering cheque deposit details in the Central Finance tracker
- Submitting monthly petty cash account details to Central Finance
- Forwarding relevant and accurate bills to Central Finance
- Collating fellow absence details and forwarding it to Central Finance
- Collecting, checking and forwarding fellow and staff reimbursements
- Forwarding fellow housing allowance forms if and when submitted by fellows
City Operations:
- Managing day to day operation of the office
- Ensuring proper functioning of IT resources in the office – internet, telephone, inverter etc.
- Ensuring payment of bills on time
- Procuring resources for events and meetings
- Organizing food for events like city conferences etc.
- Working with the City Director in locating venues for events and conferences
- Conducting research on relevant forum/conferences in the city for staff to attend
- Managing volunteer queries on a daily basis
- Responding to volunteer requests and assigning volunteers to classrooms
- Sending out reminders to fellows to update volunteer requirement forms

2. Development intern: Development supports the team in planning and executing fund raising strategies for Teach For India.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the identification and research on various fundraising avenues that would support the movement.
- Devise retail / online strategies for TFI to serve as a high value source of fund-raising and awareness building. This would include exploring best practices in cause marketing tie ups (abroad and in India), identifying key targets, conducting some initial outreach to gauge interest and then supporting implementation.
- Due diligence and research studies, as needed, to support the Development team.
- Support / assist the team on other Development related projects and activities on a need basis.

3. Recruitment intern: The intern will help the team to conduct events in several colleges and corporate nationwide and internationally, drive follow-ups with high-potential candidates, as well as support in important events. Intern supports the continuity of the movement. The intern will also assist all Recruitment Associates with data management to ensure highest returns on all investments.

- Being the face of Teach For India in various events and fests across colleges, companies and conferences held across the city.
- Leading research projects on various spheres connected to the Fellowship, Campus Ambassador and Young Professional programs.
- Helping in making proposals for collaboration with media and understand how over all media plan fits with Teach For India’s recruitment and funding strategies.
- Assisting with applicant follow-up.
- Conducting one big project of your own choice.
- Processing any ad-hoc requests that come from Recruitment Associates.
- Continuously evaluating all processes and structures existing in the Recruitment team and assisting in improving our efforts.
