Winter Internship in New Delhi – Public Policy Research – Kulhar

About Kulhar: – Kulhar (www.kulhar.in) is a Delhi based organization and is an online space for politically inclined people to meet their needs for political ‘information & participation’. It’s an attempt to encourage young individuals to explore and learn more about the realm of politics & governance.
About Internship: – The intern will be responsible for:
- Visiting the politicians/political parties to gather information in relation to the given subject
- Writing articles on the elections and political matters by taking into account the opinions of concerned stakeholders
- Miscellaneous research-based works of the organization
*Stakeholders include politicians, party workers, activists, bureaucrats, organizations/ individuals concerned with the given subject.
Number of internships: – 2
Who can apply: – The students from Journalism, Public Policy and Law background will be preferred. The key requirements for this profile are;
- Keen interest to explore and learn more about politics and governance
- Prior writing, reporting or research experience is must, especially on socio-political matters
- Sound knowledge of current affairs and politico-administrative system
- Proactive, smart and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent command over written and verbal English
Location: – Delhi
Duration: – 1 month
Start date: – January, 2013
Stipend: – This is an unpaid internship. On satisfactory completion of internship, intern will receive a certificate/Letter of appreciation and an offer letter to be part of the paid editors’ panel (for exceptional candidates).
