Winter Internship in New Delhi – Research – National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)
After a bit of wait, NHRC has finally announced its Winter Internship Program for students across the country. An excellent opportunity to gain knowledge and work on issues related to human rights. The last date to apply is 15th November, 2012 – hurry!
About the internship: – The internship will include sessions on various human rights issues to sensitize the interns. The internship will also comprise field visit to NGO’s, films and cultural programs.
Who can apply: – The eligibility criterion are as follows;
1. Students of 4th and 5th year pursuing 5 year integrated law course
2. Students of 3rd year pursuing a 3 year LLB Course
3. Students of LL.M. Course
4. Post Graduate and MA students can also apply.
5. Students who have previously participated in NHRC summer/winter internship are not eligible to apply.
Location: – New Delhi
Duration: – 1 month (31st December, 2012 – 29th January, 2013)
Stipend: – The selected interns from outside Delhi will be provided second class train fare to New Delhi and back and Rs. 8000 as stipend whereas the students from Delhi and NCR will be given Rs. 4000 as stipend. The ‘Best Intern‘ will be awarded a prize money of Rs. 10, 000. Certificates will also be provided on completion of internship.
