About Breaking the Code of Criminal Procedure: – Breaking the Code of Criminal Procedure (http://breakingthecodeofcriminalprocedure.blogspot.in/) is a leading blog on Indian Criminal Law. The idea behind the blog, as most other blogs, is to increase public participation and free access to knowledge. Besides commenting on every day issues in law and politics, we also post interesting updates in criminal legal studies and insightful interviews. We are a small team of lawyers who work part-time for the blog and are completely caught up in the remaining time in their academic/corporate world. The blog was founded in 2010 by Ashish Goel who graduated from National University of Juridical Sciences and is currently working in London alongside his studies. Our other contributors are currently in Kolkata, Hong Kong and London.
About the internship: – The Intern will mainly work with and assist the team in research on specific issues relating to criminal law. At times, the Intern will also be asked to prepare interview questionnaires, liaise directly with external contributors, maintain and update a database of key contacts, etc.

Who can apply: – Student of any discipline with excellent research, writing and IT skills, a willingness to travel and a passion for social cause are essential.

Duration: – 2 months
Start date: – July 2013
Stipend: – Rs 1000/- per month
Additional details: – The joining dates are flexible. Intern will only have to work eight days in a month and can irrevocably choose the days (s)he want to work.
