About Vmock Inc.: – Vmock (www.vmock.com) is a US based firm started by an IIT alumnus. It conducted virtual interviews in the 2011 admissions of IMT Ghaziabad and has organized a few online competitions in collaboration with various B-schools like XLRI. It has also talks in progress with IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIM Calcutta and similar other elite institutes.
About Internship: – This is an initiative to provide professional feedback to fresh graduates and job seekers. You will be hired as an expert/mentor. The minimum time you need to devote is 2-3 hours weekly. You will need to provide feedback on both CV and video interview of candidates in audio/video/text form. You will be provided proper training for this.
Responsibility and Expectations:
1. Detailed feedback
- Soft skills – It will mainly comprise of body language which will cover facial expressions, eye contact, hand gestures, confidence, etc.
- Impact – It will depend on how well the student has communicated what he wanted to convey. It basically deals with the content part.
2. Content
It deals with the skill set of the mentor. It will consist of how well he can discuss about his work experience, company profile or his sector in general. It will give the students a fair idea about the capabilities of the assigned expert to him. Also it will provide a window for the students to know the background of the mentor. Privacy issues can be taken care of here.
3. Target number of mock interviews
The mentor has to complete a fixed number of interviews in a stipulated time period.
Number of internships: – More than 10.
Who can apply: –
- Anyone with work experience ( non IT) of more than 2 years (for the paid model), or
- MBA freshers (2nd year students) with excellent communication skills.
Location: – Work from home
Duration: – 3 months
Start date: – ASAP
Stipend: –
- For a new recruit: INR 250/feedback for 3 months with the target of 30 feedbacks.
- For an experienced mentor: INR 500/feedback.
As soon as you complete your 30 feedbacks, you will move up the next band of experienced mentor. - For freshers: This opportunity is being floated as a live project (unpaid) for a duration of 3 months. You will receive a completion certificate after a duration of 3 months irrespective of number of feedbacks done by you. Beyond that, your performance evaluation will be done and if you have done a good job, you stand a chance of migrating to the paid model.
