About Suraksha: – Suraksha is a social business aiming to provide sanitary napkins at affordable prices, to women in the lower middle class and underprivileged communities.
About the internship: – The company is looking for interns to work in a start-up, which is just in the initial stages of conception. This program aims to build a business plan involving product development; communications and fundraising; manufacturing; identifying target markets; legal procedures and business processes, through group research projects in two weeks time (16th Sept,2013 to 30th Sept,2013) .
Interns will also attend an initial training program where they will learn skills and strategies for working in the development sector.

Who can apply: – Any student with interest in social entrepreneurship can apply. Fluency in Kannada/Telugu/Tamil is desirable.
Location: – Bangalore
Duration: – 1 month
Start date: – September 2013 (As soon as possible)
Stipend: – Rs. 1000/- per month
